August 23, 2006 To Whom It May Concern:
I worked with Ed Abel once a week for a period of three months during a period of real transition in my life, which included a move out of the US. Among the many things I had to do during this period, one key task was that I needed to make major decisions about investments, and those questions brought up what kind of life — and work — style I ideally want to have in the future. Ed helped me visualize and articulate my goals, and plot out the route to meeting them.
What was so refreshing about working with Ed was that he had enough experience in various businesses, especially as an entrepreneur, that for any project or deal I was considering, he could look at all the angles with me. And he looked with a cold, objective eye. But more than that, he treated ME with all the sensitivity of the most supportive friend one can imagine, rooting for me all the way, and keeping me on track when I got distracted.
I won’t quantify here what working with Ed helped me to accomplish, but I can attest to an overall boost in self-confidence and self-knowledge with regard to my business and investment goals, which has enhanced my life as a whole. And, it hasn’t hurt that he helped me to remember to enjoy the journey.
Kind regards, R.K.
